Sıvı Parafin (Liquid Paraffin – Mineral Oil) kozmetikte nemlendirici ve yumuşatıcı (emollient) olarak krem, losyon ve vücut yağlarında kullanılır. Cildi nemlendirir, su kaybını önler, uygulama sonrası yumuşak ve ipeksi bir his bırakır, ürünün dokusunu ve yayılmasını iyileştirir. Tavsiye edilen oranlarda tüm cilt tipleri için güvenlidir. Kullanım oranı, ürün tipine ve istenen nemlendirme seviyesine bağlı olarak genellikle %1 – %20 arasındadır. Formülasyonda yağ fazına eklenir, diğer yağlar ve esansiyel yağlarla homojen hale getirildikten sonra su fazı ile birleştirilir. Günlük kullanım için uygundur, cilt tahrişine neden olmaz, çocuk ve yetişkin ürünlerinde kullanılabilir ve çoğu yağ bazlı ürün ile emülsiyonlarla uyumludur.
