Ceteareth-25, kozmetikte emülsiyon oluşturucu (emulsifier) ve nemlendirici yardımcı bileşen olarak kullanılır. Krem, losyon ve yağ-su bazlı nemlendiricilerde yaygındır. Yağ ve su fazlarının homojen şekilde karışmasını sağlar ve ürüne yumuşak, kremimsi bir doku kazandırır. Emülsiyonu stabilize eder, yağ ve suyun ayrılmasını önler ve ürünün cilde kolay yayılmasına yardımcı olur. Önerilen oranlarda kullanıldığında güvenlidir. Kullanım oranı genellikle %2–%10 arasındadır ve ürün tipine göre ayarlanır.
