LABSA %96 kozmetik ve temizlik ürünlerinde güçlü bir anyonik yüzey aktif madde olarak kullanılır. Şampuan, duş jeli, sıvı sabun, çamaşır ve bulaşık deterjanlarının temel hammaddelerinden biridir. Yüksek asidik yapısı nedeniyle doğrudan kullanılmaz; genellikle NaOH veya TEA ile nötralize edilerek daha yumuşak ve kullanıma uygun olan LABSNa formuna dönüştürülür. Yüksek köpürme kapasitesi ve güçlü temizleme etkisi sayesinde yağ ve kirleri hızlı şekilde uzaklaştırır. Kozmetik ürünlerde nötralizasyondan sonra genellikle %1 – %5 oranında kullanılırken, evsel ve endüstriyel deterjan formüllerinde bu oran %10 – %18’e kadar çıkabilir. Formülasyonda önce dikkatli şekilde nötralize edilir, ardından su fazına eklenerek tamamen çözünene kadar karıştırılır. Konsantre hali cilt ve göz için tahriş edici olduğundan direkt temas edilmemelidir; ancak doğru şekilde nötralize edildiğinde şampuan ve hafif temizleyicilerde güvenle kullanılabilir.

LABSA 96% is a strong anionic surfactant widely used in cosmetic and cleaning formulations. It is a key ingredient in shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps, laundry detergents, and dishwashing liquids. Due to its highly acidic nature, it is not used directly; it must first be neutralized with alkalis such as sodium hydroxide or TEA to form the milder LABSNa salt suitable for human use. LABSA provides high foaming capacity and excellent cleaning power, effectively removing oils and dirt. In cosmetic applications, it is typically used at 1%–5% after neutralization, while in household and industrial detergents the level may reach 10%–18% depending on the formulation. It is added after neutralization to the aqueous phase and mixed until fully dissolved. In its concentrated form, LABSA 96% is highly irritating to skin and eyes and should not be used directly, but once properly neutralized, it is safe and effective for shampoos and mild cleaning products.
