Laktik Asit (Lactic Acid) kozmetikte AHA (Alfa Hidroksi Asit) grubuna ait kimyasal bir peeling maddesidir ve kremler, serumlar ve peeling ürünlerinde cilt yenilenmesi için kullanılır. Cildi nazikçe soyar, ölü hücreleri uzaklaştırır, cildi nemlendirir ve elastikiyetini artırır, ince çizgi ve koyu lekelerin görünümünü azaltır, cilt dokusunu daha pürüzsüz, yumuşak ve parlak hale getirir. Yüz ürünlerinde genellikle %2 – %10, vücut ürünlerinde ise %12 – %15’e kadar kullanılabilir. Su içinde veya su fazında çözülür ve etkinliğini korumak için 40°C’nin altında formülasyona eklenmelidir. Yüksek konsantrasyonlarda veya aşırı kullanımda tahrişe neden olabilir, gündüz kullanımında mutlaka güneş kremi önerilir ve tavsiye edilen oranlarda tüm cilt tipleri için güvenlidir.

Lactic Acid is a chemical exfoliant from the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) group used in creams, serums and peeling products to renew the skin and improve its texture. It gently exfoliates and removes dead skin cells, helps moisturize the skin and improve elasticity, reduces the appearance of fine lines and dark spots, and makes the skin smoother, softer and more radiant. The usual usage level is 2%–10% in facial products and up to 12%–15% in body products. It dissolves in water or the aqueous phase and should be added below 40°C to preserve its activity. At high concentrations or with excessive use it may cause irritation, sunscreen is recommended when used during the day, and it is safe for all skin types when used at the recommended levels.
