Isopropyl Myristate (IPM) – İzopropil Miristat: Hafif yapılı sentetik bir yağ olup kozmetikte yumuşatıcı ve nemlendirici olarak kullanılır. Kremler, losyonlar, serumlar ve masaj yağlarında yer alır. Ürünün cilt tarafından daha hızlı emilmesini sağlar ve ağır, yağlı his bırakmaz. Cilde pürüzsüz ve ipeksi bir dokunuş kazandırır, aktif maddelerin emilimini destekler ve yağ bazlı formülasyonların akışkanlığını artırarak uygulamayı kolaylaştırır. Normalden yağlıya dönük cilt tipleri için uygundur. Kullanım oranı genellikle ürün tipine bağlı olarak %1–%10 arasındadır. Formülasyona yağ fazında eklenir ve diğer yağlar ile iyice karıştırılarak homojenlik sağlanır. Çoğu yağ ve yağ bazlı bileşenle uyumludur, önerilen oranlarda topikal kullanım için güvenli kabul edilir; ancak çok hassas ciltlerde yüksek konsantrasyonlarda hafif tahriş riski olabilir.
