Kozmetikte kullanımı: Güneş kremi ve koruyucu ürünlerde UVA ve UVB ışınlarını yansıtıp dağıtarak koruma sağlar. Cilt yatıştırıcı (Soothing Agent) ve tahriş önleyici olarak kullanılır. Pişik kremleri ve hassas cilt ürünlerinde kızarıklık ve irritasyonu azaltır.
Başlıca faydaları: Cildi zararlı güneş ışınlarından korur. Tahrişi ve inflamasyonu azaltır. Yağ fazlasını emer ve mat bir görünüm sağlar.
Kullanım oranı: Ürün tipine göre genellikle %2 – %25 arasında kullanılır. Pişik kremi ve bebek ürünlerinde çoğunlukla %5 – %15 aralığındadır.
Formülasyona eklenişi: Yağ fazı veya su fazına iyi şekilde disperse edilerek eklenir. Micronized (ince toz) formunun kullanımı beyaz tabaka oluşumunu azaltır ve dağılımı iyileştirir.
Uyumluluk: Çoğu kozmetik bileşen ile uyumludur. Topikal kullanım için güvenlidir, topaklanmayı önlemek için iyi karıştırılmalıdır.
