Şampuan, saç kremi, losyon, duş jeli ve bebek ürünlerinde yaygın şekilde yer alır. Hafif bir surfaktan olarak cilt ve saçı kurutmadan temizler, sıvı ve krem formülasyonların dokusunu iyileştirir ve yağ ile su fazı arasında emülgatör görevi görür. Hassas ciltler ve bebekler için uygundur. Kullanım oranı ürün tipine bağlı olarak genellikle %1–%10 arasındadır. Formülasyona su fazında eklenir ve diğer su ve yağ bazlı bileşenlerle kolayca entegre edilebilir. Çoğu içerikle uyumludur ve hassas ciltler için güvenli kabul edilir.
